How to obtain the services of an Engineer You need to contact the engineer well in advance of when the project is needed and supply him with: 1. Any drawings or sketches pertaining to the project. 2. A project name and a contact person for day-to-day conversations. (Include e-mail and fax numbers as appropriate.) 3. Any special concerns or issues the engineer should pay close attention to. 4.
