How to authorize a Survey

You need to contact the surveyor well in advance of when the survey is needed and supply him with:

1. Purpose and type of survey needed.

2. Copy of deed.

3. Any plats you have and information about the locations of corners, lines, and easements.

4. Brief history of ownership.

5. Name and address of adjacent property owners.

6. Information about disagreement over location of corners and lines.

After your survey is completed, do not replace or move the markers.  They may be needed for future work.

NOTE:

A surveyor certified by the State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors is the only person legally permitted to conduct land surveys in the State of Oklahoma, Missouri, or Arkansas.
